Citizens Advice Havering (CAH) was set up in 1939 and has a long and successful history of providing advice to the residents of Havering and campaigning on the issues that affect them. CAH is amongst the smaller local Citizens Advice (LCAs) and as such has to work hard to meet demand with limited resources.
We are seeking a Specialist Housing Advisor to join our team. The purpose of the Specialist Housing Advisor role is to deliver bespoke housing advice and casework to residents of Havering. Clients come to Citizens Advice Havering with a range of housing issues, including those at a risk of homelessness due to the threat of possession from their lender or landlord.
We are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of housing regulations and the tenacity to advocate for clients.
The Specialist Housing Advisor will independently manage their casework but work with and be part of a wider team with a range of expertise and common aims.
You will also develop and maintain key local stakeholder relationships with a
view to enhancing partnership working and referrals, service delivery standards and effectiveness.
The application pack is available to download from our website. Please apply by completing the application form and diversity monitoring form and returning to penny@haveringcab.org.uk by the closing date (6th June 2023 at 5 pm).
For an informal conversation about the role, please email Sally Maydell – sally@haveringcab.org.uk.
